Rosso Guido Tavagnacco is a red wine produced with dried grapes. The name of this wine comes from the author of the grape-picking fresco that is depicted on the label.
Official name: Rosso Igt Venezia Giulia
Grapes: partially dried red berry grapes
Harvest: manual harvest in crates and selection of healty bunches by the beginning of October
Vinification: natural drying of grapes in crates for about a month, followed by maceration in stainless steel tanks for 10 days at a temperature of 26/28°C. The wine is then aged in 225-litres barrels of oak for 12 months
Alcohol content: 14% ABV
Primary aromas: blackberries, spices
Tasting notes: savory, slightly tannic, full bodied, round, with a persitent and pleasant aftertaste. Excellently balanced, smooth.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C / 60-64°F
Food pairing: ideally paired with game, red meat, roast, medium and long-keeping cheeses
