Vine native of France, was brought to our region during the early twenties of 1800. It's the second most widespread red grape variety of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where it has found an ideal habitat.

Harvest: manual harvest in crates and selection of healty bunches
Vinification: maceration in stainless steel tanks for 10 days, at a temperature of 26-28°C / 78-82°F
Alcohol content: 12.5% ABV
Tasting notes: Ruby red colour, tending to violet. Intense herbaceous flavour, rightly tannic, harmonious.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C / 60-64°F
Food pairing: Suitable for red meat roasts, pot roasts and game. It's full-bodied flavour perfectly harmonizes with aged cheese and cold cuts.
